This young athlete boasts considerable online presence
The young golfer can count on plenty of high-profile supporters when she begins her professional golf debut on Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is related to a former US president, received a special exemption to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns several courses worldwide and regularly plays against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we play some close matches," she revealed.
The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Simply don't get nervous."
"He essentially suggested to play and relax," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, making him rather occupied."
While still amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments in 2024 and maintains position 461 in AJGA listings.
But she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with her mother.
"He stands as the top athlete in the world," the young golfer said.
"And he's a superior individual. He advised me to go out there, have fun, and go with whatever happens."
She'll challenge some of most prominent players in professional golf at the Annika, including second-ranked the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
The LPGA stated that involving Kai exposes the sport to different demographics, particularly with younger fans.
Kai boasts substantial online presence and just introduced her own clothing and lifestyle brand.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
